Strengths: Clear sound, easy hook up, great quality box

This is a great center speaker if combined with a surround system. Works great with a 100w Onkyo receiver. The sound is very clear even with speaking is the only sound coming in. Even good with music!

Theatre Quality

Strengths: clean crisp audio

Weakness: n/a

This CS1 provides incredibly clean audio. I use this for my apartment setup and it handles just about anything I throw at it. The midrange is very clear, and doesn't cut into the low-range that much, which I like, since my 2 other fronts and subwoofer provide all that. Overall, it is a powerful unit well adapted for any serious system.

Vocal Quality

Strengths: Good Vocals

Weakness: Low bass

As a center, it is perfect to give off the universal voices from any movie. I wouldn't expect anything less and got everything I paid for. Even though it had low bass, you really don't need bass for a center. I bought this from Electronics Expo for 127, and would recommend it to anyone that wants to put a center in their system.

Bose Killer!

Strengths: Good overall balance, great voice clarity, dual mount capability

Weakness: Doesn't have extreme lows, you need a subwoofer.

Bose doesn't have similar product that could match the performance and price range.
Sound balanced with Polk Moniter 50 Tower. Good deal. Easy to understand movie dialog. Strong highs and mids. Blends well with Polk subwoofer (PSW10). Used with Denon electronics.

Top Notch

Strengths: Crisp, clean, and clear.

Weakness: None

I'm impressed! The CS-1's performance is far better than some brands selling for dollars more. I have been a fan of Polk Audio for several years and as I expected this unit is a performer. For home theatre use I made the right choice on this purchase.

Quality speaker at a quality price

Strengths: Sounds good and clean, looks great

Weakness: needs a sub to complement it

This is the center channel that matches with the Polk Monitor 50s and sounds great with them. It looks great and puts out quality sound when complemented with a sub and some other speakers. This speaker is priced low enough for a budget home theater system and is definitely worth taking a look at.
