Poor Warranty ServiceStrengths: Good TV while it worked Weakness: Poor warranty service Poor warranty service. After having the TV for 60 days, the TV has been dead for over two weeks and still waiting for Sony to repair or replace under warranty. I keep getting the run around and I am very displeased with their service. They say the part is still 30 days till delivery. Crisp picture, vibrant colors, great sound!Strengths: Crisp picture, vibrant colors, great sound! Easy to hang against the wall, low profile, and much lighter than its heavier predecessers. Weakness: The power takes about 10 seconds to turn on, and switching between channels takes about 3 seconds. This is our first large screen LCD TV, and we love it. Viewing a football game is like sitting in a box seat and viewing the game through a non-glare window. Last evening we saw an opera, and it felt as though we were sitting in expensive seats at Lincoln Center. We watch many more movies (both old and new) than previously. Screen ProblemsStrengths: Great picture Weakness: screen now has to warm up to be viewed without errors After a year of pure enjoyment of owning this tv, the screen has now become defective and has a clouding effect which then turns into lines across the screen... Great First LCD large screen TVStrengths: Crystal clear picture Weakness: Not enough inputs ( 1 and 2 ) should be around 3. This is the family's first LCD, large screen TV. It meets all of my expectations as a first-time viewer. It is very slim, very light, and easy to handle. It is user-friendly. My daughter enjoys playing her WII game on it. It is a perfect replacement for my 20", 9-year-old TV which was struck by lightning. I don't think that I would have readily purchased a new TV at this time had it not been for the storms. Jan 10, 2009 THE TV IS EXCELLENT. BE CAREFUL WHEN PURCHASING TV THREW SONY STYLE STORE. THE SALES PEOPLE ARE NOT HONEST. AFTER THE PURCHASE IS MADE GOOD LUCK TRYING TO GET SUPPORT. ALL YOU GET IS PUT ON HOLD AND ALOT OF MUSIC.

Excellent 46 inch optionStrengths: great contrast ratio, great viewing angles, awsome quality HD at a good price. much better than other "affordalbe" 46" options Weakness: it is kinda slow when you turn it on that's the only weakness i could think of i'm seriously in love with this purchase this TV is great the audio is awsome and the picture quality is great too it is slower then the more expensive KDL lcd's like the V series and the XBR but if you can deal with waiting an extra second or two every once in a while this TV is an excellent option and you can get Sony quality HD for just a bit over 1000 bucks on a 46 inch,20,000-1 contrast i read all sorts of reviews and 120hz is a little over hyped this lcd gets the job done and 3 hdmi ports is enough for me i normally buy the cheapest thing available when it comes to technology but i am seriously glad i spent a little bit extra for Sony the picture quality is awsome 100% of readers found this review helpful. Happy until it quit workingStrengths: good while it lasted Weakness: longevity Happy until it quit working one day . I got a blinking standby light would not turn on. Owned for about two years , bought the extended warranty , service suks!! replaced one part after three weeks of waiting did not work order another waited another two weeks then they called me told me the part cost more than the tv is worth. STILL WAITING!!!! Extended warranty crappy service come on sony. My car radio is sony , my home sound system is sony , I own a playstation3 Come on!!! 100% of readers found this review helpful. Sony is HORRIBLE! Great TV for 13 months, then...
Strengths: Bright vibrant picture and crisp clear sound, but it did not last long!
Weakness: TV lasted 13 months, picture went out 1 month after warranty ended. Sony would not fix it and the cost to fix it was more than I paid for the TV.
TV lasted 13 months. First there was a dark vertical strip down the center of the TV and the right side would not refresh properly which made the right side blurry. then picture went out 1 month after warranty ended. Sony would not fix it and the cost to fix it was more than I paid for the TV. I have been a life-long Sony customer, but no longer!
